I recently had gastric bypass and need to be concerned about eating enough protein (80+ grams a day)so that my body burns fat and not muscle. These bars were a real break from most others that are very heavy, chocolate, nuts, etc. I even enjoyed eating them for a breakfast on the go. Can't find this flavor in local stores, so I ordered them online and was very satisfied.

The calorie to protein ratio for these bars in general are great. I've done the chocolate and peanut butter and smores ones, and they are all pretty good. These, however, are definitely at the bottom in terms of flavor. At least they are a break from chocolate, but IMO this is kind of chemical-y in taste.

The two negative reviews on here involved shipping issues (crushed bars) and out-of-date product... Anyone who does any research on protein bars will see these have one of the highest protein/lowest calorie/lowest carb/lowest sugar per bar available. My favorite is blueberry and I'll be a repeat customer for many years to come!

While the other two types I have tried where excellent (peanut butter/choc and straw shortcake), this one was sour, hard, and overall inedible. This might have something to do with the best by date being two months in the future from the arrival date (the others had over a year to go on theirs).
