Yummy!!Jul 03, 2007
By EGSuzie I adore this protein shake! As a bariatric patient, protein supplementation is an essential part of our aftercare for about the first year. This product makes it so much more pleasant. There is no awful "protein" smell or taste. I mix it with milk to get the maximum protein out of each shake. I have nothing bad to say about the Cookies & Creme flavor. The next time I order, I may try the Chocolate flavor in addition to another Cookies & Creme.

Post-bariatric surgery diet supplement drinkJun 08, 2007

Being a person that likes food, I had to find a protien drink that tasted good. It's not likely that I would use a protien supplement that had a bad taste (or smell). Having had bariatric surgery the protien in my diet is very important. I have found Matrix 5.0 to be the best mixed with water or milk.

Tastes great and keeps you full...Mar 17, 2011
By Angie B. This is not the first protein i've tried but it is the first one I looked forward to taking. It mixes really well just by shaking it up in a container with milk or water. Also, I noticed that it keeps me from craving snacks in between breakfast and lunch. Love it!
Best tasting protein I've ever triedJul 20, 2011
By SuperDave ...and I've tried a LOT of different brands. Most make you want to gag. Matrix 5.0 Cookies & Cream is more than just pleasant; it made me actually say "wow!" when I first tried it. I look forward to the shake every day. It even has actual bits of chocolate cookie floating in it. It's a great all-around protein blend suitable for any time of the day, with fast-release whey and slower-release egg, milk (casein), and wheat proteins to round it out. It's not the lowest cal protein blend on the market, but at just 6 cal/gram protein, it's hardly going to break the calorie bank if that's a concern. The taste more than makes it worth it.
Try a scoop or two in a blender or Magic Bullet with just water and a couple ice cubes and you'll think you're having a milkshake.
It's that good. Trust me.
A protein shake I'd even drinkMar 11, 2011
By Robin M. Persson My husband loves protein shakes after a workout or if we don't have any quick and easy sources of protein in the house. I was buying the cheap, humungous containers of whey protein from Costco, but my husband wanted to try the Matrix brand because it was recommended to him. Turns out he loves it, which is unfortunate because it is much more expensive. But, I have to admit, it tastes a million times better than his old kind. We got the Cookies and Cream flavor and it is hard to believe it is a protein shake, it really tastes like a milkshake! The only negative is the price and how quickly my husband is seemingly going through this bag of protein powder.
