It's designed for people whose doctors recommend inversion therapy to reduce pressure on spinal discs, ligaments, and nerve roots while increasing blood circulation, strengthening the back, and elongating the spine. (Note: The manufacturer warns that inversion therapy is not safe for everyone and should not be undertaken without consulting a doctor.) Curved, foam-padded handlebars make it easy to assume any of six inversions positions. Foam-padded ankle collars ensure comfort and support while inverted. For easy, safe mounting and dismounting, there's a hand brake that holds the chair in place. Skid-resistant rubber floor protectors maximize stability during mounting, dismounting, and inverting. The chair accommodates users of most heights. The device's frame is heavy-duty steel, and vinyl-covered upholstery is cushioned for comfort. Assembled (instructions included), the device measures 62 inches deep x 35 inches wide x 56 inches high and weighs 72 pounds. The frame carries a five-year warranty against defects, with parts warranted against defects for 90 days. | | | Features: | |

Awesome Stretch - Horrible Quality ControlSep 09, 2007
By Linda Buquet
"5starAffiliatePrograms"
I have been obsessed with finding the right inversion therapy device for my back and neck pain. I finally centered on this one for many reasons after researching for 3 months.
What it does and how it works is amazing. No pull on your ankles, legs and hips like a table. For me and most people I know, they just need their spine stretched not their entire body. So since your knees are bent and it's holding you by the lap belt, it gives a MUCH better spinal stretch and pull than any table can.
HORRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL THOUGH
The box was not sturdy enough to ship something this big and heavy. But I don't think any of the problems were direct shipping damage.
There's a tear in the seat. Part of the break mechanism was missing so I can't even use the break. May be dangerous to use it without it, but I'm using it anyway. One of the threads was stripped so one of the screws that holds the back support wouldn't go in. I just got it yesterday and already the adjustable ankle pad is stuck all the way in and won't release. So I can't get my feet in and it hurts cuz it's too tight. Multiple scratches and blemishes in numerous places. I wondered at 1st if it was used, but I think it was just a lot of scratched up parts that were used and very poor quality workmanship. I was a little afraid to try it, in case it fell apart. But structurally it feels pretty sturdy.
BEAR TO ASSEMBLE - BEAR TO RETURN
This thing is a bear to put together. I had to pay someone to do it for me and it took over 2 hours. So it will be too much trouble to pack up and return it. Besides that the box was in too bad a shape to re-use and basically feel apart after opening. ALSO too much cost to pay someone to assemble another one. (My eyes glazed over just trying to read the directions and I have an Internet Marketing company and work 7 days a week, so just paid someone to do it for me.) It's Sunday so I can't call Stamina or Amazon to find out what can be done.
I DON'T DO REVIEWS
I buy a TON of products on Amazon and never do reviews. The only reason I wrote this one is because 1)It feels incredibly good on my back and I would have rated that part a 5. 2) It sure is crappy workmanship so be forewarned. I would have rated that part a 1. Hence the overall 3 rating.

Not for short legged people! (5'4" and under)Jul 03, 2007
By L. Padilla This was not designed with any adjustments and I found that the seat was too deep for my back to reach the back support and it pressed uncomfortably on the backs of my knees. Also, there was no length adjustment to the ankle bar so it locked over my insteps instead of ankles. Unless I held on for dear life, I would slide head first to the floor. I'm about 5'3". On the plus side, it seemed sturdy, but there were several concave washers missing when we opened the bag so we had to try 4 different hardware stores before we found usable substitutes. We also had trouble with the hand release. The cable tended to slip out of position so I couldn't release the position lock to get back up. The hand release also had to be squeezed while I pulled myself up or it would lock. Unless you have the strength to pull yourself up with one hand, don't try this alone! Very disappointing. I've wanted one of these for years and thought this would be perfect for me. On the plus side, Amazon customer service made my first return of many many purchases smooth and easy. Amazon, as always, is 5 stars in my book!

Stamina Seated Inversion Chair is a BeastJan 09, 2010
By Kenneth J. Cain
"Hoosier Boy"
I did some research to find a decent good priced inversion chair and decided on this model at Amazon.
It came in a box that I knew required assembly. When I opened the box all of the parts had moved and were in a pile. I had to separate everything to ensure all the parts were available. It took over 3 hours to assemble with plenty of frustration. The chair back pleather had separated from being poorly glued. The release handle did not work at first and I got stuck upside down. I made a simple bike type adjustment and it worked fine.
While it works great after the minor adjustments I then decided to move it to another room. It will not fit through any door in the house except outside. This is something I had never anticipated until it was too late. I felt like Goober when he assembled the car in the sheriff's station. Due to the actual size of the unit I will be returning it somehow to Amazon or selling on Craig's list. Something to keep in mind if you purchase one.
As for the operation it was fine and did make my back feel better. I'm now looking for one that folds up for storage.
Lesson learned.
Time and this chair heals ALL!Jan 31, 2011
By gaye martin I bought this chair after careful consideration and comprehensive research. I've had back problems all my life due to falling off a horse in my early 20's. Entering my 40's and then 50's I just resumed to the fact that I was going to be best friends with my Chiropractor. I got my chair in July of 2010, and after help with assembly, started using. It takes a little getting use to, but after two weeks I could tell a difference. I haven't seem my chiropractor since October and just go now to have an alignment once in a while. This chair is awesome!

headache freeJan 17, 2010
By A. Schultz This inversion chair is great. When I have tension headaches, I get on the chair and invert for 5 minutes twice a day for 3 days. I can feel my muscles slowly stretching and have immediate relief. I would recommend this product highly.
