 Nice desk overallDec 04, 2010

As the title states, it is a nice desk overall and I am happy with the purchase. However, there are two minor manufacturing defects which I find somewhat annoying. 1) One of the holes for a knob is drilled in the wrong place (off by 1/8 an inch despite a properly established pilot hole). When the hole is repaired the knob will cover it though, but still a hassle. 2) A couple of the legs are not exactly the same length. Again this is super minor and the resultant wobble could be corrected by swapping them around. Assembly was a breeze. Nice size and work surface, etc.

Yes, the box was absolutely in tatters when it arrived. There was a little ding in the back corner of the desktop. But, it isn't really noticeable enough to warrant sending it back. The side drawers are very small. I don't use the keyboard draw for a keyboard but it seems sturdy enough. If you have a little netbook or other notebook that isn't very thick, you might be able to store it in there. My old Dell won't fit but I was hoping.
Desk is sturdy and it looks really good with our other furniture. Since I only use it when I work from home, it looks like a nice piece of furniture rather than a business desk. A few nicely placed chotchkies and it looks like it complements the room.
My handsome husband bought this for me as a birthday present and I couldn't be happier with it.
The only thing I wish is that it came with a matching chair.

This is a nice little desk, it is finished pretty well (given the price) and is very easy to assemble. My wife wanted a small desk for an office in our spare bedroom and this one fits the bill pretty well. I did not have any issues assembling it, and had it together in about half an hour, tops. My one criticism is that the legs are pretty short, and the desktop is not at a standard height for a desk. My wife can fit under it on the Hon chair that we purchased, but my thighs actually hit the bottom of the desk. I wish that the legs were about 2-3" longer.
