 Just what I was looking forOct 10, 2009

"Some easy assembly" should read "Complete easy assembly", otherwise I would have rated this item a 5. Only took about an hour. Very sturdy, looks great. As usual, item arrived way ahead of estimated ship date. Amazon does a great job, as well as their vendors. Bought this for my grandaughter. Lay out all hardware, follow easy instructions and viola, great nightstand. Searched local furniture stores to no avail. Not real wood, but hey, she's only going to draw on it with crayons, right?

"Give it to me straight"
I was a little anxious at first as to what to expect, since it's essentially cheap furniture, and there are several plastic parts including the drawer runner which I thought might significantly reduce the quality. Having now used the furniture, in my kid's room for a few months (I also purchased the matching chest of drawers), I am very satisfied with it. It looks nice, and the drawer action is very smooth and quiet which was a nice surprise. It took some time to assemble. The end result is great though. It looks just as advertised.

The night table looks fine, the drawer works. Maybe I have unusual requirements and I'm not, strictly speaking, using it as a night table but by the time I put some stuff in the drawer and some stuff on top it wasn't as stable as I would hope for, not structurally, but the center of balance was off. A couple of nicely covered bricks at the back of the bottom shelf eased my mind and holds the table in place.

I ordered several types of these put togeather stands for towels in my newly re-done bathrooms.This one was a disappointment- the construction was very flimsy and when you tried to turn it around to attach another part , the partical board splintered at the attachment that you just finished doing. We had to jimmy rig the drawer after it broke three times trying to put it togeather. You do need two people if one of them has three arms. Anyway we got it put togeather and it will hold the towels

Bought two of these for our bedroom. My husband had them together in about 30 minutes each. Very sturdy and filled the space very nicely.
