I have tried the following Met-RX Big 100 meal replacement bars:
Apple Pie -- not quite as good as real apple pie, but far more nutritious. As long as you're not expecting to believe that you're eating pie crust made with loads of butter, you'll probably like this flavor. it's my second favorite.
Super Cookie Crunch - good flavor and consistency, like a dry chocolate wafer cookie with a sticky coating on top. my favorite flavor.
Chocolate Chip Graham Cracker - flavor seems a bit "chemically" and tastes nothing like graham crackers or chocolate. has a gummy consistency. my least favorite flavor.
Peanut Butter cookie - also gummy consistency. not a bad flavor, but not particularly enjoyable, either. i would not order again.

The taste wasn't terrrible, but it was not great either. I managed to finish the box. It was filling as a meal replacement, but it wasn't the best tasting. I ordered the apple pie flavor also - much better.

I think the chocolate chip graham cracker flavor is one of the better flavors. I'm more about the dryness of the other bars though. Apple pie and super cookie crunch have about as much moisture as a stick. I like the chewy consistency with crunchy bits but agree that the sugar alcohol flavor is more obvious in this flavor, the chocolate chip cookie dough and the peanut butter cookie dough as well.

I'm not picky about how my supplements taste, and I like most of the other Big 100 bars, but this one is awful. It tastes like several of the cheapest liquors you can buy mixed together, and almost burns your throat like it too for that matter. I wanted to throw it out every time I took a bite. Save your taste buds and your wallet, and pick another flavor.

Geez, this was probably the worst tasting Met-Rx bar I've had yet! I've tasted cookie dough, double chocolate chip, and others--all which I've enjoyed. But there was something about this one that just tasted funny. A chemical aftertaste difficult to describe but definitely not pleasant to the palate. I bought a box of 12, so now I have to eat it all before I can get more. Consumre with lots of water and maybe a fruit (banana works well) to counter the aftertaste. I'm sure it has all the protein I need, but just wish it tasted better! Eww!
