product shipped to a dolphin lover who loved it, especially the way that when you touch the lamp all the light flows towards your hand. would be a 5 star review but the selling company has little or no tracking info available.

I was first given this light as a gift. I use it as a night light in my living room. The first fell off the table and broke. The second one died due to a voltage surge at my house. I'm on my third one. Not only is it a great night light but it's also a conversation piece and is a pleasure just to look at.

I bought this on a whim because it was on sale for almost nothing, and I like blue light, plasmaspheres and those kind of products.
I didn't care for the dolphin idea, but I liked the blue light.
I do like it and keep it on all the time in a dark corner. It pleases me and I like the light effect, but the lamp really is objectively ugly/tacky/cheap/'kitchy' in all respects.
The base is not black, but a faux plastic ocean wave that looks so terrible. The Dolphin shape is dumb. Overall ... again ... Tacky! BUT I LOVE IT ... what can I say .... Elegant it is not. Subtle it's not. Classy, cute, charming ... none of them apply.
You gotta just like it for what it is. If you like blue plasma light effect and don't care about the shape, it's great.
It's truly awful ... but I love it! lol

I will upload the picture. The base is much uglier than the picture lets on. lol

This product will change your life. I bought it on a whim thinking I could give it to my ex-girlfriend to remind her what she's been missing while hanging out with that other guy. The dolphin changed me though. Even the day it arrived was amazing. A storm of a million sea gulls descended onto my lawn and laid golden eggs that dissipated into ancient beautiful voices that sang of the arrival of an ancient wisdom. It seemed like a lifetime, but when I finally came back to this world there was a man holding a box and asking me to sign on the line. although that was strange, I did have a pizza cooking and needed to replenish my strength after my journey into the spiritual. I fell into a deep sleep after eating and woke 3 days later. I listened to my answering machine and had been fired for missing work. In a deep despair I finally opened the box and removed what seemed like a cheap plastic and glass piece of junk. I plugged it in and turned it on... BAM! Suddenly my living room was filled with an electric blue light that danced liked the ocean on my wall paper! I was thrown to the ground and began crying as I saw my weaknesses laid bare before all the world in a single flash! My house exploded into a million tiny magical crystal fragments that pierced my soul and ripped it to shreds! All around me was a high pitched whistling and clicking noise that seemed to read my every thought, and though it was terrifying, I knew it had compassion for me! I was swimming in the cosmos, kicking and thrashing trying to find my rhythm, gasping for breath! As each layer of my ego tore away from my inner being I became lighter, swifter, more agile. I darted to and fro passing random galaxies with impossible speed! I saw a black whole and entered into it without fear! Then there was silence, all time and space had faded into nothingness, I felt as if I was standing on a giant ringing razor blade. A voice spoke for what must have been ages, I cannot reveal what was said. I immediately found myself on the ground where my house used to be. I didn't care that it had been destroyed. I walked into the sunset with full confidence and wisdom, and a deep satisfaction. I had passed the test, I had become a Cosmic Dolphin.
