1DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM THROUGH BABY AGE!!!Jan 12, 2011
By DeuceD
My mother called me to ask if I would like this for my daughter. She explained what it looked like and read me the dimensions. Based on her description, I said the item sounded nice.

However, when the storage box arrived and we put it together, the dimensions were, as many others have stated, for the outside, not the inside. It also states the box can be used for seating, which is true, but only for your small child. We thought we would be able to put this in our living room as an extra seat, which definitely is not the case. In addition, for an $80 price, I could have gone to a real furniture store and bought something much nicer.

Upon realizing these things, we called the company it was purchased through, Baby Age, and they said since we were having "buyer's remorse" and nothing was wrong with the product, we could return it, but we had to pay shipping costs (over $50!!!). Since the product description leaves so much open for interpretation, I do not agree and feel this is false advertising. Upon stating this to Baby Age and informing them I would be sure to include my thoughts in my review, the agent hung up on me. I can assure you, I was 100% calm throughout the entire conversation, and for a "manager" to hang up on a customer, it really shows the professionalism of the Baby Age company.

Again, I will never again buy anything from Baby Age and will make sure to let all of those around me know how I feel, as well.

2Pretty, but DisappointingJan 19, 2010
By Geoeve
This is a very pretty toy box, but it is very shallow. We are always worried about space in our very small house, but this box is so small in terms of depth that it's actually pointless. It holds very few toys and now seems to be a giant waste of money and space. I would not recommend it. Too bad.

4Nice qualityJan 12, 2007

This chest looks nice, is good quality (appears to be all solid wood from what I can tell), and is sturdy. I'm not sure if adults should sit on it on a regular basis but I think it could accomodate just about any child. It was also relatively easy to put together (only took me about half an hour WITH my 19 month old son trying to help). It looks great in our entry way and is a nice place to hide toys. It is short (as the description height suggests) and could not accomodate all of a kid's toys, but it can handle most of my son's daily toys he plays with in our living room.

1Way smaller than I thoughtDec 30, 2010
By DTH
This toy box looks like it is a toy box for a doll house. It is so small - it literally holds about 8 toys. The size given must include the feet and top rail bc the actual box itself is only about 6-8" high It's pretty, but a total waste of money. I am now going to go to target and just by a big crate.

5Toy ChestDec 31, 2008
By Kathy Hamilton
I bought this toy box for my one year old grandson. His father put it together after Christmas and is very satisfied. It's as big as your standard size toy box and the cherry wood is beautiful and heavy. We are very satisfied.
