I use it on me. My dogs stay healthy and injury free (knock on wood), but I'm always banged up. Great for scrapes and paper cuts and that painful extra dry skin. Instant relief and quick healing.

We first got a sample of this in a doggie gift bag at a hotel when our dog stayed with us. Yes, Hotel Indigo in Atlanta (right across the street from the Fox Theatre on Peachtree) lets your dog stay for free, provides them with a bed and a gift bag of goodies. All employees carry treats as well and give them to them.
Back to the salve, this salve seems to really help with the itching or irritation caused by hot spots, insect bites, and scratches. Our dog usually stops biting instantly. I don't know if it actually soothes it or if it tastes bad. Hopefully, the first. I would recommend this product to anyone. Also, it doesn't take a lot to coat the spot.

This was recommended by my holistic veterinarian. I have a dog with allergies and very senstive skin, plus a weak immune system. Keeping his system in balance is a challenge. He itches, he scratches he gets a sore. In the past I had to use salves with cortizone which caused other issues. This salve is natural so it doesnt compromise his health. The best part is that it REALLY works to heal his skin very quickly, so we dont risk an infection. I have used other Halo products and have been very happy.

I've only had this for a few weeks but it's been fine for the basic scratches, hot spots, etc. my 3 dogs sometimes have.
It's sufficiently emollient to stay and not run but not so greasy it will run & leave a greasy residue on everything else the dog touches. It has a pleasant herby aroma & doesn't seem to cause the dogs any discomfort when applied.
I would definitely buy this again.
