Home Brew Awesomeness!Jan 23, 2011
By Robinson D. Whitney My friend and I split the cost of the Bayou Classic SP50 for our home brewing and it has been the best thing to had to our brewing arsenal! It get's 10 gallons of wort boiling in about 15-20 minutes and maintains heat with it's easy to control knob. We pass it back and forth so it sometimes takes a beating traveling as much as it does, but it holds as strong as the day we got it and it still helps us brew some amazing beers! We recommend it for any home brewer out there who is looking to get out of the kitchen so their wive's don't freak out over the sweet smell of boiling wort thru out the house!

Simple, Sturdy and Idiot-proofNov 03, 2006
By S. Steckler Cooking on a gas grill should be simple, and this is about as easy as it gets when you need to do your cooking in a great big pot. The instructions were barely necessary (but they are) and setting it up took all of 60 seconds. It had no trouble holding and heating a commercial-sized 62-quart stainless steel pot full of Chesapeake Bay crabs, and later in the week the deep frying of a whole turkey. It was also easy to detatch and store. It is relatively light weight (a pleasant surprise) but quite sturdy, it has plenty of grill and burner area to keep a loaded pot steady and hot, and is just what I need for entertaining big gatherings at our weekend home.

Outside canningSep 15, 2008
By Green Thumb Needed a method for outdoor canning as I've had my smooth top range break while canning on it. I have only used the Bayou Classic for two tomato hot water bath canning sessions outside, but it has worked well both times. Plan on using it for pressure canning my green beans within next few days.

Meets expectationsJul 12, 2007
By Henry Che I bought this gas cooker for those times when I need to use large pots or cook smelly fried foods. It is everything I was hoping for. The construction is tough and durable, and it will probably outlast me! The shipping was fast and free, it arrived in about 4 days only.

This is a nice burner.Dec 14, 2007
By C. Caffee Nice burner for the price you pay. Plus you get free shipping from Amazon. It doesn't get any better. The product seems to be very durable. Don't listen to others say that the welds are cheap. I used to weld, and these are nice welds on the legs and surface.
