5Nice weight for kettlebell novicesSep 24, 2010
By C. Klaassen
I picked this weight up to use with Jillian Michaels: Shred-It With Weights. I had been using a 3 pound hand weight and wanted something with more heft but which I could handle. This weight suits my needs perfectly. It is about 6 inches across and 6 1/2 inches from base to top of the handle. The handle is smooth but textured enough so it stays in a sweaty palm. The diameter of the handle is pretty small but large enough to be comfortable for those of us with decent sized hands. I wanted a cast iron kettlebell to avoid the issues others have had with sand and I also like the vinyl coating over the base of the bell. I have knocked my wrist with the kettlebell on several occasions and can't say that was a particularly good time. I do have to admit it was pretty much entirely my own ineptitude and, sadly, can't be blamed on the weight.

I have noticed you can get similar kettlebells for a bit less in brick and mortar stores. I can't compare them to this one as all the places I checked were sold out when I went to look. With shipping I think this item is fairly priced.

Recommended for those looking for a lightweight kettlebell.

5What a workout!Sep 20, 2010
By Myra L. Callahan
This kettlebell will give you a great workout. I have definitely lost inches from my hips and thighs (my problem areas) and built upper body strength. I did a workout from Prevention magazine using the kettlebell and it worked. Believe me I am dripping sweat from just a 20 minute workout and it really gets my heart rate up. I was unsure which weight to get but since I had been using 10 pound free weights, I wanted to be challenged a bit more so I chose the 15 pound kettlebell. It is well constructed and though I do have callouses on my hands, it is easy to handle.

5Probably Too Heavy for Some BeginnersFeb 08, 2011
By N. Rivera
I bought this kettlebell along with two kettlebell videos and an instruction booklet. Found that it was too heavy initially, I can handle the 15 pounds for short durations, but the videos are 40 and 50 minutes in length. Ended up buying a ten pound kettlebell which I now use 70% of the time. J-Fit kettlebells are nice quality, so my problems had nothing to do with the product itself.

5Nice Wide HandleJul 05, 2010
By Elizabeth B. Giovaniello "Liz G"
This Kettlebell has a nice wide handle for easy gripping. You can easily grip it with both hands. The vinyl coating helps to protect your floors and the flat bottom helps it to stay put once you set it down. The orange color is nice, too.

5Better than Russian VodkaDec 17, 2010
By Michael Machado
I have been an avid weight lifter for years, but never went for the pretty boy look of body builders. If you are interested in building core strength, kettlebells work. What I also like about kettlebells is that they don't take up the room that an olympic bar and bench would consume.
