Great for coreFeb 26, 2009
By K. Marcum I bought this to sit on at work. I was hoping that it would help my posture (I have a tendency to slump) and strengthen my core to help address some lower back problems.
After a month of use, I love it and have recommended it to several people--including people at work who want to know what the heck I'm sitting on.
As I hoped, it basically demands good posture. Also, my abs are definitely getting stronger. I could feel it working about 20 minutes into the first time I sat on it. And today I noticed in the mirror that my upper abs definitely have more definition.
Great for anyone who wants a core strengthening exercise they don't have to think about and that doesn't add any time to your day.

Easy to incorporate into daily activity--inflation a choreDec 04, 2009

This balance disk is easy to incorporate into my daily activity. I stand on it while I fold laundry. I alternate between one-legged standing and standing upon it with both feet. Sparkpeople has free video demos of ways to use it, so I follow those sometimes.
I hadn't thought to sit on in a chair, so that adds another dimension of usefulness.
The only reason I give this 3 instead of 4 stars is that the inflation process can be a bit of a hassle to figure out. The manufacturer should include instructions. You don't need the bike tire needle-looking part to inflate it. I just pulled out the little white plug and used the included pump.

Makes me tired - but in a good way.Aug 19, 2008
By JustSandy I bought this to use on my desk chair to improve my posture and make working at my desk less sedentary. Because you have to subtly but constantly work at maintaining your position your muscles will definitely feel it until you get used to it. All in all I'm very happy with it and it was worth the price just for the laughs the first time I sat on it!

great for sittingApr 28, 2009
By Penelope Reilly I bought this for my 87 year old mother who has neurolagia in her legs. She has found this to be the most comfortable seat for any kind of sitting. No pressue on the backs of her legs and because she can control the firmness of the cushion she has no pressure on her lower spine. Great product for her needs!

Back pain Eliminated!Feb 08, 2010
By Runa Jonsdottir I have chronic lower back pain, which is exacerbated by sitting for long periods. When I get stuck in the office, the rest of the week is spent trying to relieve the pain and stiffness. Since I started using this disc at the office, I rarely get the pain anymore! Plus, if something else stresses my back, I can sit on the disc and work out the problems in five to twenty minutes. I was skepical at first, but I will be getting more sitting discs! It was very easy to inflate, seems very durable so far, and it adds an extra fitness tool to my workouts.
