Broke after a few usesJun 18, 2010
By ashburyniran Was not worth [...]. The flimsy plastic handles could not stand up to even the reasonable use of a 10-year-old. Right out of the box immediately one of the end-caps sporting the logo fell off. After a week the "jump counter" broke, jammed and refused to reset itself back to zero. It's stuck at 999 forever. It is digital in the sense that it has digits, but nothing computerized, just a plastic counter - the same kind you find on a "Skip-It" if they still make those. In fact, I should have gotten one of those instead of this crap.
After a few uses, the white plastic spiral on the rope meant to protect it from getting damaged as it slaps the ground is completely destroyed, leaving the actual purple plastic cord pitted with gashes and slashes.
Apparently you can't get your child a durable jump rope for under [...]. Pass on this one.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!Feb 08, 2011
By Pandabear This item states that it is a "Digital" counting jumprope. It is NOT digital at all. It does have a counter on it, but I think the seller needs to better understand what "digital" means. It has an old fashioned counter on it (kind of like the handheld ones you see employees of an amusement park using while tracking guests as they enter), however the counter does not work properly. I had purchased this item for my 7 year old daughter, and she was so excited to receive it in the mail. Her excitement quickly turned to disappointment when she started jumping and stopped after a few jumps to see if the item was keeping an accurate record of her jumps. Low and behold..... NOTHING!!! It didn't even count 1 jump. So she presses the reset button thinking that this might help, she started to jump again (counting this time to make sure that she and the jumprope were in sync), she and I counted 10 jumps and the jumprope only registered 3 of the 10 jumps. She was very disappointed. In fact, later that night she told me "mommy I'm sorry that you spent that much money on the jumprope. We could have gone to the dollar store and gotten a better one". Bless her little heart. I told her not to worry and we would find her a better one that works. Please learn from my lesson and save yourself some money... DO NOT buy this piece of junk!!!
