Marvelous EngineeringJan 11, 2010
By The Wanderer I just love my J Fit exercise bar. It is a very clever piece of precise engineering. It comes in 3 pieces so it can be packed in a compact bag and taken with you where ever you go. It assembles easily into a one piece exercise bar which allows you to do a multitude of exercises. It is very versatile and does just about as much variety of exercises as does the individual resistance tubing with handles - yet is far easier to use and just about as compact to take on the go. It comes with a nicely illustrated pamphlet depicting exercises you can do - and it is easy to come up with more on your own. It comes with 2 tubes of different strengths and the tubes are pretty easy to change. It also comes with a door strap that allows you to use a door to anchor the tubing in order to perform a number of exercises. I am very impressed with the engineering and overall quality of this product and would highly recommend it.

A FLIMSY TOY THAT HAS some USEFULLNESS.Nov 24, 2010

I can see the "NO" votes pouring in already. And they haven't even read my review. While most everything the previous reviewer said is true about its assembly, ease of use, and variety of exercises, what he or she either neglects to inform us of, or has a very low strength level and gets more out of this than I do, is this gadget's resistance level is practically non existent. And that's using the black tubing (the heavier tension)of the two. You CAN thread the tubing very short. Or twirl the bar a lot of times, but then the tubing stretches very thin and looks like it will snap. Maybe it won't, but LOOKING like it will undermines my confidence in this product. I would recommend this for children 10 to 14 years of age. With some initial adult supervision to show them how to use it properly and safely, people in general wishing to ease their way into a fitness program for the first time, or rehabilitation after surgury or an accident. But if you can do at least 10 legitimate pushups or can bench press half your bodyweight one to two times, then this item will be of no use to you.
